Start your day with

calm, clarity, and connection

Good Morning - Zao Shang Hao

"Zao shang hao" (早上好) means "Good morning" in Mandarin Chinese. It's a common greeting, especially in the early morning.

Feeling overwhelmed or restless? You’re not alone—I’ve been there too. Life moves fast, but you can find calm within the motion.

Through mindful movement, I’ve learned to quiet the noise, ease tension, and create space for joy. Now, I’d love to share that with you.

This is a place to slow down, reconnect, and grow—at your own pace, with a supportive community. Whether you're new or experienced, you are welcome here.

Morning Qigong at Lake Merritt began in 2019, originally guided by Sifu David Wei of Wudang West. Today, the practice continues under Sifu Eileen, carrying forward that legacy as a gentle, healing resource for our local Oakland community.
